First Communion
Welcome to Sacramental Preparation at the OLC School! This joyous program brings our students together for sacramental preparation through prayer, storytelling and activities. Our classes are lively and engaging as students learn about their Catholicity and parts of the Mass.

In order to receive First Holy Communion in 2nd grade, your child must have a full year of religion class. OLC students will receive the first-year instruction in the first-grade class as part of the religion curriculum. The following year, in second grade, your child will be eligible to register for the after-school program.
First-graders who are members of the OLC parish family must complete a one-year study at home program to be eligible for our afterschool Communion program at the OLC School in second grade. OLC will provide the materials for you. The cost of the book is $25.00.
Students who are new to the OLC school must complete one year of religion before enrolling in any of the sacramental preparation courses. We welcome students in grades 3 – 5 who would like to receive Communion to register.
